These terms apply when you use the sixth.watch website or the free Scam Check service. Sixth is operated by Yathra Pty Ltd (ABN 85 169 717 908), "we" or "us". By using the website or Scam Check you agree to these terms.
1. The website
The website describes Sixth and its prices. We work to keep it accurate, and each product page shows which features are running and which are in pilot. Prices and features can change. The price that applies to you is the one in your written agreement or order.
You may read, share and link to the website. You may not copy large parts of it, use it to build a competing product, try to break or overload it, or collect information from it with automated tools.
2. Scam Check
What it is
Scam Check gives an automated opinion on whether a message you forward looks like a scam, looks genuine or is marketing, with the reasons. It uses automated checks and artificial intelligence, and a person reviews some cases.
What it is not
A Scam Check answer is general information about one message. It is not financial, legal or security advice, and it is not a guarantee. Scam Check can be wrong in either direction: a message we call genuine can still be a scam, and one we call a scam can be real. Before you pay, sign in or share personal details, contact the organisation directly using details you already trust, such as the number on your card or its official app. If you think you have been scammed, contact your bank straight away and report it at scamwatch.gov.au.
What you send us
- Only forward messages you have received, or screenshots of them.
- Don't use Scam Check to send us malware on purpose, to harass anyone or to test our systems without our permission.
- You give us permission to process what you send as described in our privacy policy, including using it to test and improve Scam Check and to protect others from the same scam.
Limits
The free plan includes 10 checks a month. During the current trial, Scam Check replies only to people we have invited. We may limit, suspend or end free access at any time, for example if it is being misused.
3. Paid services
Brand Protection, Business Protection, Guardian, Community Desk and the recovery pack are provided under a separate written agreement or order, which sets out the service, the price and the terms that apply. Takedowns and reports on a client's behalf are made only under a letter of authority signed by that client.
4. Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
5. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we provide the website and the free Scam Check service "as is", and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of them or from relying on a Scam Check answer, including loss caused by a scam we did not identify. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
6. Intellectual property
The Sixth name, logo, website content and software belong to Yathra Pty Ltd or its licensors. Names and trade marks of other organisations shown on this website, including in examples of scams, belong to their owners and appear only to describe or illustrate scams.
7. Links
The website links to other sites, such as government scam resources. We are not responsible for their content. Scam Check replies write suspect web addresses with brackets, like example[.]com, so they cannot be clicked by accident. Please don't remove the brackets and visit them.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will show the date they took effect at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. Questions go to hello@sixth.watch.
